The American Wilderness Coalition seeks to protect America’s last remaining wilderness areas and expand our National Wilderness Preservation System by providing additive resources and advocacy assistance to the many individuals and organizations involved in wilderness protection efforts at the local, state, regional and national level. There are active wilderness campaigns in every western state as well as several in the East including efforts in New England, the Mid-Atlantic, the Southern Appalachians, Wisconsin and Illinois.

The American Wilderness Coalition would like to personally thank leaders from the conservation community who gave their volunteer time to create the first Wilderness Report Card:

Amy Belanger, Chris Brunell, Michael Carroll, Jane Danowitz, Mike Francis, Free Range Graphics, Amelia Jenkins, Rick Johnson, Bart Koehler, John Lamson, John Leary, Mike Matz, K McArthur, John McComb, William Meadows, Sherry Lynn McLaughlin, Brian O’Donnell, Dave Pacheco, Tom Price, Becky Rom, Doug Scott, Sara Shipley, Cindy Shogan, Victoria Simarano, Dan Smuts, Chris Soderstrom, Paul Spitler, Edward Sullivan, Brianne Truscott, Robert Vandermark, John Wallin, Melyssa Watson, Daniel J. Weiss, Jeff Widen, and Larry Young.

This could not have been done without your support and encouragement.

American Wilderness Coalition Board Members:
